Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using Qorix (the "Application"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Application. These terms apply to the application file (freelance-manager.html) and any associated web pages provided by BDA (Bloc Digital Apps).

2. Permitted Use

Qorix is provided free of charge for personal freelance and sole trader management. You may:

• Use the Application for your own business record-keeping
• Share the Application file with others for their personal use
• Modify the Application for your own personal use

You may not:

• Redistribute modified versions of the Application commercially
• Remove or obscure any copyright, credits, or attribution notices
• Use the Application to provide paid bookkeeping or accountancy services to third parties without appropriate professional qualifications

3. No Warranty

Qorix is provided "as-is" without any warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

BDA (Bloc Digital Apps) does not warrant that the Application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of bugs. You use the Application at your own risk.

4. Not Financial or Legal Advice

The Self Assessment tax calculator provides estimates only, based on publicly available UK income tax bands and National Insurance contribution rates. These calculations:

• May not reflect your exact personal tax situation
• Do not account for all allowances, reliefs, or deductions you may be entitled to
• Are not a substitute for advice from a qualified accountant or HMRC

Always verify your tax obligations with a qualified accountant or directly with HMRC before filing your Self Assessment return.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, BDA (Bloc Digital Apps) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Qorix, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data due to browser storage being cleared
• Financial penalties, fines, or losses arising from reliance on calculations produced by the Application
• Any errors or omissions in the Application's calculations or outputs

6. Your Responsibility for Data

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of data you enter into Qorix. Your data is stored in Firebase (cloud) and also cached temporarily in your browser's localStorage. Note that closing the application clears the local cache — Firebase remains the persistent source of your records.

Qorix also provides a manual backup export (Settings → Data & Backup). We strongly recommend using this regularly. BDA is not responsible for data lost due to account access issues or third-party service outages.

7. Third-Party Services

Qorix integrates with the following optional third-party services:

• Firebase (Google) — primary data storage and authentication. Subject to Google Firebase's terms and privacy policy.
• FormSubmit.co — used for optional bug/feedback reports. Subject to FormSubmit's own terms and privacy policy.
• LM Studio — used for optional PDF data extraction. Runs locally on your machine by default. If you configure a remote server, you accept responsibility for data sent to that server.

BDA is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or data handling practices of these third-party services.

8. Changes to These Terms

BDA (Bloc Digital Apps) reserves the right to update these Terms of Use at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of Qorix after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
